A rare true runner in full faded glory. A row of large diamonds centers the strong symmetrical composition. With lozenges, protective eye motifs, and small symbols filling the field, the piece is balanced but also complex. It shows its age with charm, a deeply faded palette of plum, apricot, mint and pink. Dark brown undyed wool provides some visual weight. With many signs of repair visible on the back and selvedges, it has history and much life left in it.
