Highly abrashed with the color story all in the field. Plums and apricots in high pile, silky and curly, with a few thin shadows of coarser dark goat hair, produce a banded field that is both bright and deep. Small symbols appear throughout in purple and very light peach, nestled in the pile so as to look almost like polka dots.  The sophisticated use of different knots adds to this unusually rich piece. With symbols woven in Berber knots and the field in longer single knots, the symbols recede into abstraction. The goat hair reinforced selvedges echo this attention to detail. Some small repairs are visible on the back but it is in overall excellent condition. Set off by striped orange flatweave at one end and dark braided fringe with purple undertones on the other.
