Simple, soft modernism. It’s a luxurious base of feather-soft deep cream wool knots. In high pile and the loose weave typical of Azilal rugs, there is a nap to the face such that it appears different from one end than the other. It is wonderfully textural, even whispy, letting the light yellow that shoots through the weft show in subtle stripes. An open composition of squares and unknown symbols run in imprecise rows. Red, putty green, tufts of true blue all in acrylic knots and those in chocolate brown wool combine for a feel organic and colorful at once.
