Symmetry and brilliance. Dominated by a radiating diamond and chevrons, typical female symbols, it is the color story that makes it unique. A cool swirling blue is the backdrop for sorbet orange and cream and finally a red that leans toward coral, even pink. Wide borders reinforce order but the high pile in brilliant blue is not truly tamed. In full Berber knots of hand-spun wool on cotton warp that comes through as bright fringe on one end that was likely shortened long ago.
