Sophisticated monochromatic shimmer. Expertly woven in fine wool typical of the Beni Alaham tribe. The tone is not typical, but is stunning, light brown wool with a sheen that lends a golden touch. The minimal larger lozenge network, shifted off center, is in dark brown, as is the M symbol on one side. The selvedge detail shows small variations in that brown and provides a simple border. Beautiful edge detail with two stripes, one purple and one red, both faded on the short flat weave, leading to a row of knots and a small fringe on one end. Berber knots of the best wool in excellent vintage condition.
