A celebration. Creamy loop pile wool with a sprinkling of colored knots of rag. A bnchgra, or blanket, made for warmth in mountain cold, it is a utilitarian piece shot through with a little fun. The warp and weft are partly rag as well and on the more worn end they often show through. Look closely enough and you can see the sparkle of metallic thread. The colorful knots have all the variation of the clothing they were made from but blues, red and yellow really pop. With long braided fringe, again both fabric and wool, at one end.
