Rare color combo and intricate motif. Panels of abrashed walnut, plum, and bordeaux make a luxurious field. There is real depth in tone and the intense motif only adds to it. The central axis of filled diamonds and small diamond chains along all four borders creates a dense and intricate motif in an unlikely palette of tangerine, the lightest apricot, deep red, indigo and faded sage. Signs of age include a low pile and some fringe loss but it remains in excellent condition with rich colors and expert weaving.
