The sophisticated sheen of old wool. The Beni Alaham region is known for its wool and this is, literally, a shining example. Finely hand-spun and polished over years of use, it is all shimmering cream, Berber knots in medium pile. The elegant geometry of these pieces is writ large here, in grand symmetrical banded lozenges that continue off the field. Natural olive brown turns to chestnut in parts for a translucent effect that compliments the luster. With careful detail on the selvedges and one end finished in striped flatweave and braided fringe.
