Classic, graphic, luxurious.  It is an old piece in finely-spun wool and tight knots, highlighting the weaver’s skill. In undyed almond and deep brown with hints of grey, the composition is simple but not shy. It is all high contrast and soft materials. There are hopes for protection and abundance. In the full network of notched lozenges, a few holding talisman. And in the wheat chains lining both edges, broken half way through. It is worn to lush low pile, velvet to the touch. A testament to its quality and the skill of the weaver, age and use have left it only softer, in excellent condition. Braided fringe at one end.
