A simple motif in a crisp palette thanks to time and use. The field of cream wool knots were once deep magenta but the pink tint comes through now only in the right light. The acrylic green zigzags have not worn so are exaggerated, both bright and high pile, adding texture and a verdant touch. As is typical of these runners, the weft is rag. It shows through in areas of higher wear where hot pink, sky blue, cobalt and a pale yellow crop up. Selvedges reinforced with colorful rags bring color to the edges as well. In lovely proportions, wide enough for there to be a clear soft path through the lightening bolts.
