Simple in design, elegant in execution. A full, borderless field of banded lozenges knotted in abrashed brown. Soft Berber geometry, they sit in a rug of tightly woven silky wool that has worn and brightened with age to a sophisticated, shining almond. The renowned skill of Marmoucha weaving shows in exquisite tight knots and a disciplined but light motif. But the quality starts long before that, with wonderful hand-spun wool that lends both the luxury and heft.  Some dark selvedge detail shows on the front, but only a hint. It is a beautifully made and well-loved piece, with some visible repairs that attest to its utility and history.
