An unusual white Zemmour piece. Its striking motif borrows a central medallion from traditional urban rugs but stretched and colored and sprinkled with symbols, it becomes distinctly its own. One end shows off a honeycomb band and the other a swath of orderly lozenges. But the personality really shines in the middle where protective symbols abound and negative space gives the composition room to breathe. That pause reveals small details, something new with every look. With a restrained but stunning use of color, it is an art piece in dense beautiful wool.
