BMG In the Blink of an Eye

BMG In the Blink of an Eye

$0.00

A visual wink to pattern and abrash. It is traditional in many ways, from its lozenge network to its double Berber knots. But the lozenges, usually protective eyes or female symbols, here cascade and repeat, rendered more pattern than symbol. Each bisected by a line, they develop a geometry and loose rhythm. Striped selvedges add to the modern, graphic feel. The colors would have been vibrant purples and reds at one time, but have faded to beautiful lilac and salmon, even coral. Grounded in black, they are soft and strong at once. A row of blue knots surprises at one end. Both sides are usable, the back a vibrant version of the front. In low pile with a small braided fringe at one end.
